The latest report of the research organization UBI Research shows that China has become the largest purchaser of smartphone OLED display panels in the second quarter of this year, accounting for 52.5% of the total. In contrast, South Korea accounted for 35% in the second quarter of this year. On the other hand, the United States managed to obtain 8.3% of the total. In total, companies from China purchased approximately 30.4 million OLED panels.

Specifically for Chinese mobile phone manufacturers, Huawei’s mobile phones purchase the most OLED screens, accounting for 53.4% of the total, followed by OPPO, vivo and Xiaomi, which account for 18.6%, 14.8% and 8.3% respectively. .

The report pointed out that China's OLED panel manufacturers will continue to increase production in the future. Compared with LCD panels, OLED has become the first choice because of its thinness, lighter profile and better color performance. Another major factor is that OLEDs can achieve flexible display sizes, allowing manufacturers to carry out innovative designs.

Along with leading smartphone brands such as Samsung, Huawei and Apple, other companies such as OPPO, vivo and Xiaomi are also increasingly adopting OLED panels in their smartphones.
