Apple's announcement shows that some of the 13-inch MacBook Pro sold between October 2016 and February 2018 will have some problems. There are two main points. The first display backlight continues along the bottom of the entire screen. Or intermittently display the vertical bright area, and second, the display backlight completely stops working.

For this problem, the dismantling agency iFixit said that the problem of uneven backlighting is because Apple uses a thinner flexible cable, and the cable used in the previous generation MacBook Pro is thicker.

In addition, iFixit also stressed that this problem is very difficult for users, because Apple changed the design of the Touch Bar MacBook Pro, the repair that could have been completed for only $6, now costs $600.
