Apple recently made a major update to the MacBook Pro 13/15, which updated the latest Intel 8th generation CPU and added a True Tone display, Apple T2 security chip and more. But today 9to5mac found one of these new features, the new MacBook extended True Tone display support to some external displays.

Supported include the Apple Thunderbolt Display and the LG UltraFine 4K/5K display connected to the laptop. Apple's support documentation shows that all three monitors can use True Tone display technology, just like the internal monitor.

True Tone display technology was launched on the iPad Pro and already supports iPhone X and iPhone 8/8 Plus. This function automatically detects the surrounding light through the ambient light sensor and adjusts the color temperature and brightness of the screen to an appropriate level.
